To continue improving my skills as a provider, I attend numerous workshops and training opportunities. I meet and exceed Kansas’ training requirements and have exceeded in-service training hours every year as a licensed provider. I have completed and achieved Accreditation by the National Association for Family Child Care (NAFCC). I have been self-employed as a Licensed Family Child Care Provider in Kansas since 1986. And I look forward to many more years as a positive influence in the lives of my day care children and their families.

I provide the type of care that I would want for a child of my own. The safety, environment, nutritional benefits, educational opportunities and variety of experiences I offer children reflect my commitment to each child’s well-being. The emotional nurturing and unconditional acceptance given to each individual shows my devotion to children in general. Consideration and caring are my most important aspects.

As part of my dedication to better child care, I am

an advocate for children as an active member of the

following organizations:

  • Kansas Association for the Education of Young Children
  • National Association of Family Child Care
  • The Family Conservancy
  • Child Care Providers’ Coalition of Kansas
  • Providers Networking
